Transporting chemicals places particularly high demands on safety, material selection and documentation. At VM Tarm, we have more than 25 years of experience in developing and manufacturing chemical tankers, and we have built a strong position across the Nordic markets.

We manufacture chemical tankers for all types of chemicals – from standard products to more complex and demanding applications. We offer both standard solutions and fully customised solutions, always tailored to the individual customer’s needs.

Our chemical tankers are primarily manufactured in stainless steel or acid-resistant steel and are developed with a strong focus on weight optimisation. Through continuous development, we have achieved chemical tankers that are among the lightest on the market.

Bitumen Tanks for High Temperatures and Demanding Applications

VM Tarm also manufactures bitumen tanks designed for the transport of products at high temperatures. The tanks are produced in acid-resistant steel and can be approved for temperatures up to 250°C.

The chassis frame, brackets and other components are manufactured in stainless steel, ensuring high durability and long service life – even under demanding conditions.

Composite Tanks for Transport of Aggressive Chemicals

For the transport of highly aggressive chemicals, we offer composite tanks designed to withstand even the most demanding conditions. The tanks are available in materials such as FRP (Fibre Reinforced Plastic) or FRP+ with fluoropolymer lining (e.g. Halar), ensuring excellent chemical resistance.

A composite tank is a flexible solution that is easy to clean, making it ideal for transporting varying chemical products. At the same time, the tanks can handle different densities and large temperature variations from -40°C to +100°C.
