Renovation and transfer of feed tankers

Feed tanker on container frame

VM Tarm a/s offers feed tankers mounted on hook-lift container frames, providing a high level of flexibility and making it easy to switch between truck and trailer.

The tankers are available with 4 or 5 compartments and with pressure or pressure/vacuum systems. They are built to high quality standards with low tare weight.

​Complete refurbishment and chassis transfer

A feed tanker has been fully refurbished and transferred to a new Scania chassis for Christensen Transport AS in Norway.

​

The project included a complete transfer of the tank system, where the tanker was carefully adapted to the new chassis with a strong focus on optimised weight distribution, operational reliability, and long-term durability. Selected high-quality components have been reused where it adds value, while key systems have been upgraded to meet modern requirements.

​

The upgrade included:

  • New bottom valves in cast aluminium
  • Updated air system with EBRO butterfly valves
  • Upgraded and optimised blower unit
  • New hose pipes, hose storage and integrated storage solutions
  • New chassis mounts and rubber suspension for improved stability
  • Optimised placement of the tank based on load calculations
  • New aluminium walkway for safe and easy access
  • Custom-built rear bumper with integrated lighting
  • Visual upgrades and refinements for a clean and functional finish
