VM Tarm a/s as a workplace

At VM Tarm a/s, no two days are ever the same. This is because we build customised tankers, each one almost unique. To make this possible, you as an employee need to be able to think for yourself. Thus, you carry considerable responsibility. In return, you will have an exciting workday, and you will get to see your own beautiful tanker take shape with your hands.

Health, wellbeing and safety

At VM Tarm a/s, we have taken a number of initiatives to promote employee health and wellbeing:​​

  •  Financial bonus for cycling to work​
  • Free access to the local gym​
  • Health insurance​​
  • Massage for employees during working hours​
  • Employees can take a walk in the forest every afternoon​​
  • Fruit and food arrangement​

We are constantly working to improve our safety under the motto "Safety is common sense," and in the past year, we have nearly managed to avoid workplace accidents.​

Focus on apprentices

At VM Tarm, we take responsibility by always having a large number of apprentices. We have a special programme for apprentices to ensure that they learn as much as possible, and we do everything we can to take good care of them.

In 2019, we received the DI MidtVest Internship Award for our special efforts with apprentices. That same year, we also received the Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality's disability award for our work to include people with disabilities in the workplace.

A special place

At VM Tarm a/s, there is a special spirit and a fantastic camaraderie. There is always plenty of room. When we celebrate our successes, we roast a pig, at the Christmas lunch we dance folk dance, and every day we support each other.

Smoke-free working hours

From 1 September 2023, there will be smoke-free working hours at VM Tarm. Read more about the initiative here.
