40 years anniversary at VM Tarm – Niels Jørn celebrates a major milestone

At VM Tarm, we have had the pleasure of celebrating a very special milestone. Niels Jørn has indeed had his 40-year anniversary with VM Tarm.

Niels Jørn was hired by the company in 1986, when VM Tarm had around 38 employees. Back then, the construction work was done at the drawing board, and the working methods were very different from today. Since then, both the technology and the company have developed significantly, and Niels Jørn has been a part of the journey all the way.

The path to VM Tarm actually went through scouting. Niels Jørn was a scout leader and at that time employed a young scout leader named Knud. About 10 years later, the roles were reversed when Knud (then director and owner of VM) called and asked if Niels Jørn would consider coming to VM Tarm as a designer. Since then, he has been a central part of the technical department.

For many years, Niels Jørn has worked with the construction and development of solutions for tankers, and in recent years, he has been responsible for sales drawings. His experience and professional insight have been a great strength for both colleagues and projects over the years.

Niels Jørn is also known for his good humor and positive attitude towards work, which contributes to good collaboration in everyday life.

It is employees like Niels Jørn who have helped lay the foundation for the company we are today.
